While we were having dinner at the Frog Leg Inn yesterday evening it dawned on my I’d never photographed the restaurant’s signature dish: Deep-Fried Frog Legs. The above image is the appetizer version of the dish, with the entrée having more than this plate did. As the meat of a frog leg is quite light, Chef Tad has created a light batter to complement the meat. Even people who don’t like frog legs have found they like these!

  1. Those are some mighty meaty frog legs! Our Asian market used to sell live frogs in the meat department. We would bring some of our picky eater friends over there gross em out! 🙂

  2. These are Indonesian frog legs, which run a little larger than most. The restaurant also serves deep-fried alligator … they’re pretty tasty, too!

  3. tastes like chicken, right?

KIDDING… it tastes like frog. but it does kind of taste like chicken. fry anything and I’ll eat it!

  4. Amy, I was actually pleasantly surprised that these really don’t taste like chicken at all … more like a good fried rabbit, actually! You’d eat fried rabbit then? I know too many people who would holler, “You’re eating Thumper???” 😉
