There is something I’ve done in my life that not many dad’s can say that they’ve done. It’s a very cool thing, and the person on the other end of what I’ve done is watching me type this at this very moment.<\/p>\n
I have actually been the one to catch one of my kids as they were born. It was twelve years ago today. Ryan knew that.<\/p>\n
The University of Michigan Medical Center claimed I was the first dad to ever ask to catch one of my kids. I really can’t believe that was actually true, but I’d like to believe it. Such a fact would make Ryan’s birthday and our relationship even more special than it already is.<\/p>\n
Ryan likes to read, not write. And even though he’s as skinny as a railroad tie, he likes to eat, too. And play computer games. And harrass the animals. And harrass his sister. But you probably already knew that.<\/p>\n
I’m going to roast this boy a couple chickens for his dinner. He’ll also have some of Adam’s garlic mashed potatoes and some green bean casserole. We might even make him a cake.<\/p>\n
